THANK YOU for visiting my fundraising page and hopefully supporting me.
On July 26, 2009 I will be running the San Francisco Half Marathon to support NAMI, the National Association for Mental Illness. The reason I choose NAMI, is yes, my family has been touched by Mental Illness and I want to be a part of the process of bringing awareness and truth about it, as well as support those who are living with it. There so many WONDERFUL, LOVING, CARING individuals living with mental illness. They are truly the creative, artistic and passionate piece that makes life so fascinating. Without many of them, we would never be entertained, inspired, nor would our country be where it is today. But there struggle is painful. It is for them, everyone who supports them, loves them and for all the brilliant Doctors and Therapists who work to find cures and treatment that I am running. It is my hope that in doing this, I will help take away the horrible stigma that is associated with mental illness, and that I will in some way help bring this amazing country closer to a more realistic awareness of what Mental Illness truly means. Thank you for taking the time to come to this page and hopefully helping me support this organization. With Love, Paige Dunham For more information please visit my Facebook or MySpace. www.facebook.com/profile.php profile.myspace.com/index.cfm PS- I have completely checked the safety of this site, and to insure you all, I have made the first donation with my own credit card.
