Thank you for all your heartwarming emails, calls and prayers regarding my lung cancer battle since February this year. And thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page here. As many of you are aware, my wife, Julie, and I flew to our house here in Manila, Philippines, to continue my treatments at one of the world's best hospitals - St. Lukes, after my health insurance in Virginia lapsed in April, and believe it or not, the cost of doctors and hospital services here are a tenth lower than america. The fight has become bearable, all because I know I am loved by you, my family, relatives and treasured friends!
However, the greatest of my pains now, is the thought of not being able to continue to help these indigent deaf children like I used to, paying for educational scholarships of 4 deaf kids for the past 3 years. This is the reason why, Julie and I decided to create this fundraising page when we got here in Manila, as I visited the school Julie founded in 1987 - Philippine Institute for the Deaf [ PID ] www.info.com.ph/~semfi , and I met the growing number of scholarship applicants, deaf children who cannot even eat one good meal a day, nor buy clean clothes and footwear, moreso to afford to go to school without help from people like us. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to any of your chosen charities.
