The National Children's Cancer Society seeks to improve a child's chance of surviving cancer by providing direct financial aid and emotional support to children with cancer and their families. We believe that children with cancer will receive the most consistent medical care when their parents can focus on them, rather than the additional burdens caused by cancer. Financial aid includes assistance with lodging, meals, long distance phone calls, transportation, child care, rent, mortgage, etc. Families are required only to show that they have financial need during their child's treatment, regardless of their ability to pay before the child's diagnosis.
